About

Hello there,
I've been working with people to declutter and get organized for over a decade. I could give you lots of reasons why organizing your space is practical, beneficial, life-changing etc. But, here is the main lesson I've learned:

If you're thinking..

-
How do I even start?
-
Why is a simple decision so difficult?
-
What makes dealing with stuff so overwhelming?
-
Why can’t I (or they) just do the thing!?
Consider this: we are not meant to tackle everything on our own, especially making decisions that are loaded with emotions, memories, stress and uncertainty.

So, I'm glad you're here!

Why not make the magical move to turn what makes you feel heavy, overwhelmed and stuck into an opportunity to connect, create and play with possibilities.
Invite a friend, a family member or a creative and compassionate professional to join you in that "stuck place" and turn it into a "starting place."
I'm a professional organizer who listens carefully and takes the time to understand what you want and need to do. We can work together every step of the way. Or, perhaps you just need the first step, a conversation!

Warmly,

Maya's Story
From a young age, I’ve found delight in sorting and supporting. Like most professional organizers, I have a visual-spatial knack. But, what I really love about this work is getting together and figuring out "how are we going to do this?"

This inaccessible garage...those two storage units...this home of 35 years... that antiquated filing system...the mail pile under the table... that creative passion project that has been on hold for a decade ...and these thousands of photos from mom and dad...etc.

I first offered organizing services in 2009, while on summer break from college. I organized for my neighbors: retirees, empty-nesters and families with little kids and lots of vibrant chaos. When summer ended, I went back to school to study Psychology, Sociology and eventually, a Masters program in Human Ecology. With an eye towards social change, I focused on place-based organizations and alternative and accessible ways to archive, research and document their history. All the while, my organizing business grew by word-of-mouth, expanding to cities and states surrounding the Boston area.
Bouncing between professional organizing and community-based research, I realized I was not just working with clutter, but intimate situations involving life-transitions, relationships, aging, grief and neurodivergence. Over the last 15 years, I've decluttered and organized whole homes, prepared and unpacked moves, emptied storage units, overseen mold remediation, filed decades worth of documents for taxes, probate and family history and even worked through a writers block. Every organizing project has been an opportunity to explore the relationship between people, their environment and how to embrace change and move forward.

In 2022, after more than a decade of organizing part-time, I gave into my love for creating joy out of complex disorganization, and founded Dancing Rabbit LLC. Two years later, I leapt across the country and created a new burrow for Dancing Rabbit in Boulder, Colorado.
